Sex 2.0 Releases Conference Schedule
The organizers of Sex 2.0 released their session schedule this week. The "unconference," which is dedicated to addressing the "intersection of social media, feminism, and sexuality," will hold its second annual event in Washington, D.C. on May 9 of this year. Scheduled sessions include "Building Bridges and Alliances between Sex Worker Communities, Researchers & Clients," "Craigslist Red, Craigslist Blue: Why We Should Dismantle the 'Internet Red Light District,'" "Customer Relations for Sex Workers," and "Internet Advocacy for Sexual Freedom." Presenters will include founder Amber Rhea, Elizabeth Wood, Audacia Ray, Renegade Evolution, Melissa Gira Grant, and Ricci Levy. The conference was first held last year in Atlanta, Georgia, and brought together a small but very active community of educators, bloggers, and activists to network and discuss the uses of technology in sex-positive activism.

Pragmatism
Hi,
I am just a pragmatic abolitionist.
Don't shoot me please !
That is to say, to abolish sexual services economy is a social and a political Utopia.
But, too often, even a "good" Utopia leads to misunderstanding of real life. To believe that applying realy the rules of an Utopia can be a good solution, this one is probably a very dangerous dreamer.
If I wish you a succesful meeting because I have the opinion that it is very important the sex workers have a corporative representation in order to be listen about their conditions of professionnal activity and ameliorate their way of ordinary life during job activities.
About sexual services economicals, many people discuss but never among them, a sex worker is explaining about its daily activities.
I'm waiting a lot of explanations from you concerning some aspects of your social and economical commercial experiences :
Social :
Who are you ?
What sort of needs are you giving commercial offers ?
What is exactly the offers, what kinf of services are you paid for ?
(I don't want detailed reports about sex. But if a sodomia is selled. I want to know that. Not more. But I think not only sex is exchanged but also others human relationships. Perhaps it is important to have public knowledge about that)
Economics :
What level of external financial investments is acceptable to yours differents economical activities to avoid at investors to be considering pimping ?
Law :
Legal status for sex workers :
Legal status of company salary people ?
legal status of independent professional ?
Others ?
In conclusion, I would like to say as an utopian abolitionist, I'm convinced the best way to give a chance of an other job experience, it is very important for sex workers to get out sexual comercial services of informal economic activity.
It is very important all along of their job experience, sex workers needs to be protected by a legal condition of market.
I am convinced, even the best conditions would be obtained, that the sex trades continue to be at risk like some dangerous occupations that have nothing to do with sexuality. Although ?
