Mrs. Betty Bowers, for those not in the know, is America's Best Christian, and as she notes in the video below, is "so close to Jesus, the rest of the Trinity calls her Yoko." In her spare time, Mrs. Bowers masquerades as Deven Green, a comedienne from Southern California who has been sainted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
BettyBowers.com, a spinoff of Landover Baptist Church, has provided some of the best religious satire around for over ten years now; the one stumbling block that they've both encountered is that, if anything, they're a little bit too good. An internet truism knowns as Poe's Law says that it's impossible for any satire of fundamentalism to be so outrageous that it can't be taken for the real thing. In the following video, Mrs. Bowers gives some sharp-tongued advice to us sinners about the godly way of doing sex. (Always married, and always in the same position.) While religious busybodies keep trying to tell us what to do, we're glad to have Mrs. Bowers around to show how ridiculous they really are.
