Kinky BDSM Pix of Angelina Jolie? We'd Love to See Them, if She Wants Us to.
I am personally a huge fan of Angelina Jolie. I celebrate her as a woman who's spoken openly about her own issues and kinks at the cost of significant harassment from the press, and helped a great deal to bring alternative sexuality into mainstream consciousness. She's publicly stated that she's bisexual, talked articulately about BDSM and bloodplay, (and pregnancy sex!) and been open about having sexual desire.
I delight in the way she's cannily used the media's prurient interest in her explorative sexuality and her struggles with self-injury in her youth to promote causes she cares about, like her work as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. When you read her interviews, she'll say something about kinky sex or cutting for the reporter to use as a pull quote, then insist they also write about her latest humanitarian project. She doesn't have a publicist or an agent; she controls her image herself.
I admire the way she's gone to stay in horrible conditions in refugee camps over and over, and given MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to relief organizations. She was the first recipient of the Citizen of the World Award by the United Nations Correspondents Association in New York, and in 2005, she was awarded the Global Humanitarian Award by the UNA-USA. In 2006, she spent Christmas Day with Colombian refugees in San José, Costa Rica- handing out presents.
So the fact that old BDSM/fetish flavored photos of her have been sold to a tabloid without her consent makes me furious. For one thing, I strongly suspect that if the former friend who had the photos had contacted her, she'd have negotiated a way to sell the photos and give the money to charity, like she does with all the other photo ops.

Topless save for crosses of black tape across her breasts, she is seen posing provocatively with what looks like a leash around her neck.
More importantly, the idea that the existence of photographs of a young woman engaged in sexual play somehow invalidates her as a humanitarian is revolting to me. The idea that she should be terrified of her children seeing the photos is ridiculous. After all, they're pictures of her naked, not pictures of her buying a $5,000 birthday cake. The tone of the media coverage of this photo outing is disgusting. It's puritanical, censorious, and hypocritical.
Here's a quote from Angelina about BDSM:
"S&M sex can be misinterpreted as violence. It's really about trust. I like to push boundaries, both emotional and sexual, with another person. That's when I've felt the sexiest. I've been in both submissive and dominant roles because I want more."
Now, what I find especially interesting is that Bruce WIllis did a very kinky, BDSM-y photoshoot for W last year, with his beautiful young wife, and no-one complained about how that might affect *his* kids. Some days, the double standard is just a little too infuriating. I hope for the sake of the Jolie-Pitt family and the many, many people who benefit from their charitable work, that the appearance of these photos will be treated by the culture at large as no big deal.
However, since the Willis photos didn't draw much attention last year, and they're both entirely consensually produced and really hot, you can see them below. I especially love this lovely photo of Willis blindfolded (as Angelina is in one of the photos just published by the Star) and clearly being dominated by his wife.
