Thanks to Violet Blue, we came across this fascinating documentary about the making of RealDolls and the man behind them. There are a lot of strong feelings about RealDolls, even among people who've never seen one, but very little information available to the general public. Most people know that RealDolls are life-size sex dolls that cost a lot of money (usually about $6,500 to $10,000), and that adds up to one thing in their minds: creepy. With just a few minutes of video, California is a Place's Honey Pie goes beyond making the obvious jokes and lets creator Matt McMullen speak for himself about what inspired the RealDoll and why their owners treat them with such affection.
