Touch Breasts Through 3D TV

Experts believe that the market for new three-dimensional (3D) television sets will be supported by viewer interest in sport and sex. According to industry projections, 3D televisions manufactured by Panasonic, Sony and Samsung are selling slowly, but sales should pick up with the development of new technology.

Reuters reports that technical developer 3Dlized is teaming up with adult-content producers in hopes of capitalizing the on the 3D movement created on the silver screen by James Cameron’s Avatar.

Phillipe Gerard of 3Dlized believes that the provocative images in adult films can make viewers want to reach out and touch them as they would if they were grabbing at candy. "Viewers reached out with their arms to the candies in the Haribo adverts in theatres,” he explains. “When boobs pop out of the screen it's the same, people reach out to touch them.”

While 3D televisions may not be appropriate for the images in news bulletins, shows that feature sex, football, boxing and other forms of entertainment are well-suited to the new technology which costs approximately $1400 Euros ($1700 USD) for both the television set and the viewing goggles.

Erotic content producers are coordinating monthly subscriptions for their upcoming 3D services and the first set of modern 3D porn films have been released in recent months. Kama Sutra, produced by France’s Marc Dorcel (link NSFW) launched last month and even magazines are picking up on the trend with Playboy featuring its first 3D centerfold in June’s issue.
