The month of January is named after the Roman God Janus, who is the guardian of the gates. His image is one of two faces: one looking into the past and one into the future. He gives us hope for new beginnings as the Gregorian calendar year commences. New Year's “resolutions” are made, and if you keep them small, they are often kept. I want to wish a Happy New Year to one and all. May 2010 be filled with excitement, joy and pleasure.
January also marks the one-year anniversary of this column. I would like begin this year with the simple question: How am I starting my year? Thank you for supporting me in the birthing of this dream project; I hope it serves you well.
Finally, if you find yourself tweeting, you can follow me at http://twitter.com/IdaLovelace. I will be doing random 140-character readings for people at whim, or just throwing words of wisdom (aka daily tarot-scopes) out there.
In Service,
Ida Lovelace
