Erotic Powerplay

Originally from Germany, Gabriele Hoff, PsyD, has met many people who play with power consciously. Always interested in film, psychology, and sexuality, Dr. Hoff made erotic powerplay, consensual sadomasochism (SM), Dominance and submission (D/s) and fetish play the focus of her studies. She found that most people play with power sexually to a certain extent, some more and others less. She believes that consensual SM and D/s should be taken out of their respective niches which separate these activities from regular, more conventional forms of sex. Dr. Hoff believes SM and D/s may simply represent more intense aspects of the continuum of erotic powerplay.
