An Australian man who was arrested for indecent exposure told a court yesterday that he was simply airing his penis out and didn't know anyone else was around.

According to The Border Mail, 22-year old Anthony Hadfield was sitting on a bench in the botanical gardens in the city of Albury.  Two teenaged female photographers, interested in a nearby pond, spotted Mr. Hadfield just a few meters away with his erect penis out. 

The girls quickly went to a different part of the park, but someone else who saw the incident called the police.  When questioned, Hadfield told officers that he hadn't realized anyone else was around.  He said he had a rash on his penis and just wanted to air it out.

Hadfield has to pay a fine of $250 (about $230 US dollars) for willful and obscene exposure.  Presiding magistrate Gordon Lerve said he didn't believe the rash story.  “He is in denial, there is an issue,” the judge said.  Two other charges were dropped on a technicality.  This was his first offense.
