I Forgot to Take My Pill

Oh no! I forgot to take my birth control pill!

Well, let's see. Today's Friday. When was the last time you took your pill?

If it was Wednesday, you only missed one pill. Take the one you missed right now, today's pill at the appropriate time, and don't worry about it.

If it was Tuesday or before, throw away the pills for every day you missed, pick up where you left off(e.g., take Friday's pill and go on taking a pill a day till the end of your cycle), and use supplementary birth control (condoms, a diaphragm, or avoiding penis-vagina intercourse) for the rest of the month to prevent unwanted conception.

You know the good part about forgetting your birth control pills? You get a special day of celebration just for you... on the second Sunday of every May.
