There's going to be a Porn-In tonight at the Marriott in Downtown LA.

Sponsored by both the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and the faith-based Pink Cross Foundation, the event hopes to draw attention to the fact that the hotel chain makes lots of money charging guests to watch condom-free pay per view porn, reports XBiz.  The protest will take place in front of the hotel on Figueroa Street, and will somehow incorporate three-foot wide condoms, before moving inside, where a press conference will take place in a hotel room with porn streaming in the background.  

The organizations plan to launch viral and print campaigns next week, focusing first on Salt Lake City.  (The hotel chain was founded by and named after a Mormon root beer salesman.)  Michael Weinstein of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation believes the hotel chain is endangering the lives of porn performers:  “We want to highlight the brazen hypocrisy — the Mormon Marriott’s moral masquerade — of such a so-called family oriented hotel chain profiteering off adult films that endanger the lives of the performers acting in them.”  If the hotel chain refuses to start offering condom-only porn, the groups will call for a boycott of the comany's hotels, which number nearly three thousand in the United States alone.
