Penis Size Matters to Men
Annabel Chan has discovered that men worry about penis size, but not for sexual reasons. According to Perth Now, the Victoria University researcher has obtained penis measurements from more than 500 men and concludes that size matters more when it comes to “locker room syndrome”. Men are more likely to worry about the size of their members when surrounded by other males, but when they are on their own, they are generally satisfied.
The clinical psychologist’s research study was conducted online and asked men to measure their own flaccid and erect penis sizes. Though Chan expected self-reported measurements to be slightly overestimated, the data for penis length fell within the average range. The average flaccid measurement was reported at 3.4 inches while erect penis lengths amounted to 6.3 inches on average.
According to the self-reported data, those who measured in above average also reported higher self-esteem, enhanced overall health and higher body satisfaction than those men with average or below-average penis lengths. Men who reported being overweight were more likely to experience lower self-esteem, less overall body satisfaction and an increased likelihood of using the internet to socialize. Those who claimed to be happy with their penis size were less likely to engage in online dating or use Viagra, a drug marketed as a remedy for so-called erectile dysfunction.
The study involved men between 18 and 76 years of age from 43 different countries and respondents were also asked if they thought a bigger penis might improve their performance in bed. "Men are more concerned about how their overall body size compares to the perceived male ideal than they are about how their size might impact on their sexual relations," said Chan. However, 67.3 percent of participants believed they would experience improved self-esteem if they had a bigger penis.

Re: Penis Size and Online Dating
It's sad that there are not as many secure men on online dating websites, that we only get the psycho freaks.
