The 'Penis Killers' Come to Trial

On September 10, 2008, an argument over penis size at a South African pub resulted in four men shot to death. Two brothers and now former police officers, Brian and Leon Steven, are standing trial for the murders of Shawn Strydom, Nick Jansen van Rensburg, Rory Menzes, and Bruce Edwards. Although the Steven brothers were already on administrative leave over another matter at the time of the killings, it wasn't until June 8 of this year that they were formally dismissed from the KwaZulu-Natal police force.

On the night of the murders (which have been dubbed the 'Penis Killings' by the media), witnesses told the court that a diminutive man of Indian descent began bragging to other pub patrons about the size of his penis after urinating next to a white man in the men's room. Witness Thomas Vivian said the Indian man approached his table and said, “I’ll show you my dick is bigger.” He then made a gesture that suggested he was going to undo his pants and actually show them. Another patron told the Indian man to "take your dick and fuck off." The scene escalated, with racial epithets volleyed back and forth, until the Steven brothers became involved.

A resulting physical altercation outside the pub was re-directed back inside when Brian Steven fired several shots. His brother also fired a shot. Defense attorneys are claiming that the brothers acted in self defense. In addition to the four dead, two other men were wounded with bullets. We wonder who feels like the biggest dick now. The trial will continue next week.
