The inimitable Dan Savage, the snarky sex columnist and faggot extraordinaire, may be expanding his media empire. He announced on his blog today that he is negotiating with HBO to bring Savage Love to the small screen (or flat screen or big flat screen, depending on your media set-up). He of the infamous neologisms (santorum, etc.) and unapologetic impatience for the stupid will essentially be broadcasting his unique brand of sex education and advice. He writes, "'Savage Love,' the (potential) teevee show, 'will focus on current events and cultural trends with sex as the filter.' I'm hoping to bring a new kind of conversation to TV about sex—an honest conversation, one that's informed without being (too) wonky, funny without being (too) cruel, sexy without being (too) cheesy." But will there be nudity? It is HBO after all.
