Listen Up Punk! Is This the New Gay Anthem?
Kent James, also known as Nick Name, has finally released a video for his 2001 punk anthem "I Fucked Your Boyfriend." Formerly the frontman for the gay punk band Nick Name and the Normals, James has been making headway with a solo career, including the 2007 release of a "best of" compilation album "Kent James: Decade Of Dirt (1997-2007)" which became the top-selling album in the Metal/Punk: Queercore genre. Once a mormon, James is now the usually shirtless, confrontational, and sexy singer who has been dubbed "the gay Henry Rollins" and "the most masculine man in gay culture." In this new video for his 2001 song, the singer is unapologetic and angry. This would have to be the very dark flip side of Gloria Gaynor's ode to post-break-up inner strength "I Will Survive" (is that a new mash-up I hear?). Could this be the new gay anthem? Heterosexuals aren't the only ones who bitterly engage in revenge sex, and Kent James's version is simply hard to top. And, bitch, why would you want to? Why the fuck did YOUTUBE kick "I Fucked Your Boyfriend" music video off? THIS IS BULLSHIT! I feel YOUTUBE isnt for everyone particularly the GAY COMMUNITY. I love this video and it is no worse than over half the crap I see posted by straights! By the way, KENT FUCKING ROCKS!

Same here, I just don't understand. If it's about sex, there are videos here at least as sexy as this one. And if the lyrics were the trouble, then the french rap song "Sale pute" is even more violent... I'm sure we could find countless others.
I just hope people will find another way or another good reason to discover your work. I also didn't know you before I saw the "I Fucked Your Boyfriend" video advertised on a website. I am saddened that my buddy Kent James (aka Nick Name) music video "I FUCKED YOUR BOYFRIEND" was kicked off from YOUTUBE for supposedly violating community guide lines. Sorry but to me this sounds like a fucken witch hunt, and in today’s society I will and neither should you stand for this type of discrimination. Shame the video has been pulled. It seems that censorship for some things, and not others continues to reign. To me there was nothing particularly 'wrong' of offensive with the video. Kent: I've had a bunch of stuff kicked off of YouTube that had NO overt sexual content or even the f-word, all it takes is to be sexy gay as opposed to queeny gay, and people flag it, and boom it's gone. I actually had the most complaints about the Tom of Finland party videos from queeny gay prudes. I suggest you make a teaser, like 10 second clip for YouTube, that is totally g-rated and put the link to the full video. -Tim

I have a feeling your video may well have had the largest number of hits----that's probably jealousy rather than thinking you have ignored fuckin community guidelines.
