Hamas Accuses Israel of Passing Out Aphrodisiac Bubble Gum
Whatever you think of the situation between the Israelis and the Palestinians, this latest bit of news from the Gaza strip has to sound a little bit odd, if not downright counter-intuitive: Islam Shahwan, a Hamas police spokesman, claimed on Monday that the Israelis are trying to destroy the Palestinians by distributing gum laced with aphrodisiacs. Israeli intelligence, Shahwan claims, is even encouraging drug dealers to distribute the gum for free.
The basis of Shahwan's accusation is a Palestinian drug dealer who was arrested and supposedly confessed to selling aphrodisiacs that he received from Israeli sources. (Of course, it's still a big jump from "buying drugs from Israelis" to "an organized campaign by the Mossad.") Shahwan said that "The Israelis seek to destroy the Palestinians' social infrastructure with these products and to hurt the young generation by distributing drugs and sex stimulants."
If Shahwan's claims seem a little weird and paranoid at first glance, they seem even more so when you consider that the last thing that the Israelis want Palestinians to do is anything that results in increased reproduction. For decades, many of Israel's great fears have sprung from the fact that the Arab population of Israel is growing at higher rate than the Jewish population. Arabs currently make up about 20% of the population of Israel proper, not including those who live in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It's unlikely that their secret strategy is to make more Palestinians.

While perhaps Shawan is wrong about it being an aphrodisiac in the gum it wouldn't be surprising if there was some chemical that would promote sterilization in the gum especially when the Israeli Jewish population is so concerned about the potential increase in the Palestinian population. I guess I don't know why they are concerned if the Jewish population is still the majority in the land that isn't theirs. We've known for generations that the government funds researchers to develop new means of eliminating a segment of a population particular through slow means that cannot be easily traced back to the source.

Anway, the fear isn't that the population will grow, it's that the young people will go wild with sexual energy and won't live as good Muslims ought to. That is: repressed, subdued, and downtrodden.

Perhaps you biasedidiot has never heard of such things as the Tuskeegee Experiment that was sanctioned by the government to purposely and willfully infect Blacks with syphills or withhold treatment from those who already had it. It had nothing to do with drug testing and everything to do with trying to reduce the Black population in the US. There's no telling how many other such experiments have been conducted in the past nor how many are still taking place.
It is common knowledge that the Israelis don't want the Palestinians to exist. And for the record not all Palestians are Muslims or do you believe every idiotic thing that mainstream media and government talking heads tell you? If so then you are the insane one that has lost the ability to think for yourself. I'd say I feel sorry for you but I don't since I have no time to feel sorry for jackasses. So go stick your head back into your little cloud and keep inhaling the fumes the government wants you to.

The "aphrodisiac" they're so afraid of is spearmint. It's banned in Egypt. Being friendly with harmless mint gum (that can be sexually stimulating to some, but is not an aphrodisiac) is not the same thing as manufacturing elaborate plots. And until Israel stops being able to kick the entire Middle East's ass with their Geneva Convention-al tactics, sneakier tactics won't be a problem.
Also, I really hate to support "might makes right", but all nations are somehow created through war (or even bigger governments who themselves earned a local right to draw borders, probably in an equally stupid way), so Israel is as much a country as any other country.
