The armed forces of the world have come up with some odd games over time, some more politically correct than others.. The latest, incorrect, game comes from the Australian navy ship HMAS Success where sailors ran a complex game to see who could have the most consensual sex with female sailors. Points were awarded based on location, on top of a pool table scoring highly, orientation, sex with a lesbian gets more points, and rank, officers count more. This leads to the obvious conclusion that sex with a lesbian officer on the pool table would be a winning move.
Unsurprisingly the navy doesn't agree. Several sailors have been "sent home" after the game came to light during a routine "health check" under the navy's "equity and diversity" policy. Sailors were apparently recording their conquests in a book known as "The Ledger" where female sailors were listed with a dollar value. Australia's navy is fully integrated and like most western forces does not discriminate gay and lesbian service members (gays and lesbians have been allowed to serve openly since 1992.)
The reactions have been predictable with the navy issuing an official statement: "The individuals were removed from the ship after an equity and diversity health check, which led to a formal inquiry being initiated." and Women's Forum Australia spokesperson Melinda Tankard Reist saying: ``If the allegations are proven I don't think these men should have a role in the Navy. These are not the kind of men we want defending us.''
All this leaves the question: A pool table on a ship? WTF?

Yes this is exactly who you
Yes this is exactly who you want defending you.
I wouldn't follow the politically correct tosser who came up with all these regs into combat.
Trust me I've done worse in the army.
P.S. Bad reporting..you didn't tell us who won.
SEX GAMES AT SEA
These "landlubbers" should not be allowed to interfere with what happens once the ship departs the dock. What do you expect them to do? They are se(a)men for pete sakes. They did not discriminate against anyone, officers or enlisted. The complainers are just jealous that they didnt get to take part in "nailing a sailor" too. They just love a man or woman in a uniform. To all of those complainers, your Proctologist has just called and said they have found your head!
I think the most important
I think the most important question is whether anyone actually ever succeeded in accomplishing that winning move, or at least something close to it.
sex competition on navy ship
For a start, it only involved 4 of the male crew members - and they were reported after complaints by female crew members. Unfortunately the Australian Navy has a very bad history of sexual harassment, including rape, of women service members, and they have had to adopt a very strict, zero tolerance policy in order to combat this. We're not just talking offensive remarks, either - serious, repeated sexual assault attempts, with the perpetrators not punished. Hence what appears to be an over-zealous approach.
On a lighter note - the competition was also very discriminatory - only male crew members were able to "score", and only on female crew members. Had they added, say points for seducing a straight male crew member, or sex with a gay crew member, it would at least have been more equal opportunity. And by not assigning points to male crew members, they left out any chance for the female crew members to participate.
